| In 1908, electrical units for health were sold directly to the public. The Sears, Roebuck & Co. catalogue featured
three units on page 206. The description of "The Electric Medical Battery" says: "… our most prominent
physicians are today using electricity in their treatment of many diseases." The customer is also informed
they will receive '… our special instruction book, 'Medical Electricity at Home'." Our freedom to choose—and thus our desire to take personal responsibility for our health—was obviously greater in 1908 than it is today! |
